Celebrate Earth Day with National Park Live Streams

Starting on Earth Day (April 22), the National Park Foundation has partnered with Paramount+ to provide viewers with streaming access to seven national park sites, filmed by solar-powered cameras. Parks include Yosemite, Everglades, and Death Valley, and streaming will continue through National Park Week (until April 28).

Hawaii Is Pulling Ahead on EV Adoption

As EV adoption slows in some parts of the country, Hawaii is picking up steam in making the move to electric vehicles. Currently ranked third—behind California and Washington—in EV adoption, 11.9% of new vehicles sold through February in Hawaii this year were electric. Reasons for this can include high gas costs as well as cultural notions of land stewardship.

Maserati Unveils Luxury Electric Convertible

Last week, Maserati revealed its new GranCabrio Folgore, a luxury electric convertible supercar that is coming to the U.S. ahead of 2025. The new model is essentially a convertible version of the GranTurismo and is expected to cost around $220K. With three electric motors, it puts out 760 horsepower and does 0 to 62 mph in 2.8 seconds.

Lawmakers Propose New California National Monument

Two California lawmakers, Representative Raul Ruiz and Senator Alex Padilla, are proposing new legislation to expand Joshua Tree National Park and designate a new desert national monument. Chuckwalla National Monument would include parts of Riverside and Imperial counties in Southern California, and the combined designation and expansion would protect wildlife migration paths and conservation areas between the new monument and Joshua Tree National Park.

Tesla Recalls 4,000 Cybertrucks

News hit this week that Tesla is recalling its brand new Cybertruck over a sticky accelerator pedal, causing widespread headlines, viral social media posts, and a stock downturn. There have been no known crashes or injuries due to the issue, and Tesla vows to repair the pedal assembly to keep it from sticking. Nearly 4,000 owners are affected by the recall.
